Wade Kottke

Wade James Kottke, age 53, of Merrill, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on December 2, 2020. He was born on March 2, 1967 in Wausau, WI to Loyd and Marian Kottke. Wade was baptized on April 16, 1967 and was confirmed in 1980 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hamburg, WI.

Wade graduated from Merrill High School in 1985. He worked many years at Lincoln Wood, however, ended his career at Black River Meats. Wade liked to hunt with his brothers, go fishing, have his annual bon fire, was a great mechanic and loved spending time with his family and friends playing Rook, and being on the tractor.

He is survived by his son: Eric of Merrill; mother: Marian, of Merrill; two sisters: Tamara Kottke and Audra (Daniel) Kalepp, all of Merrill; six brothers: Terry (Joan) Kottke, Kevin (Kim) Kottke, all of Athens, Brad (Debbie) Kottke, Hamburg, Kent (Laura) Kottke, Craig (Trisha) Kottke, all of Athens, and Corey Kottke, Goodrich. He is further survived buy 21 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and nephews as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Wade was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Kottke, and brothers Dale and Keith.
