Thomas Huber

Thomas Gordon Huber, age 61 , died unexpectedly at his home in Merrill, WI on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Tom was born on March 8, 1954 in Hazen, North Dakota to the late Gordon & Grace (Jones) Huber. In his youth, he spent summers with his grandparents in North Dakota, but grew up in Chicago, IL. Tom enjoyed fishing and playing cards with family and friends. He enjoyed watching his Kentucky Wildcats and Buffalo Bills – but he did root for the Green Bay Packers, to keep peace in the family! Tom also enjoyed family get-togethers and the occasional casino trip. Tom moved to Merrill in 1985 to be closer to his mother and family. He was last employed by Wire Products Manufacturing. Thirteen years ago, he met the love of his life, Margie Rick, who preceded him in death on July 2, 2015. It was with her that he found peace and comfort that he had not known previously. Tom is survived by his brothers; Ben of North Dakota and Joe (Debbie) of Merrill, sisters; Ava (Jim) Casper of Florida and Adele of Merrill, along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents and the love of his life, Margie Rick. A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 5pm-8pm at Waid Funeral Home in Merrill. There will be an interment of his ashes and a private family service held at a later date in Twin Buttes, North Dakota. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Tom sent to Waid Funeral Home, 301 Eagle Drive, Merrill, WI 54452 will be appreciated. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.
