S. Thomas Tompach

S. Thomas Tompach, age 83, of Merrill, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital.  He was born on May 17, 1940 to the late Stanley and Averill (Hanson) Tompach in Alton, IL.  Tom attended and graduated from high school before going on to earn his bachelor’s degree in English from Marquette University.  He married Linda Nikolai on December 15, 1984 in Merrill.  She survives.

Tom worked in various positions over the years, including as a purchasing manager at Zimpro in Rothschild, and as an Operations Analyst for Wausau Insurance before retiring.

Tom is survived by his wife: Linda, children: Matthew (Angela) Tompach, Paul (Stacey) Tompach, Luke Tompach, Roy Sefton and Michele Sefton, 9 grandchildren: LeslieAnn, Rebecca, Kathryn, Madeline, Olivia, Charlie, Stephanie, Brett and Morgan, 1 great grandchild: Sophia and sister: Mary (Marc) Nielsen.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Per Tom’s request, no services will be held.
