Ryan Patrick Adams

Ryan Patrick Adams, age 32, passed away unexpectedly from an accident on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Ryan was born on December 18, 1991, in Park Ridge, IL to Gerald “Gerry” and Vicki (King) Adams. He attended and graduated from Westfield High School before going on to earn an associate’s degree from Mid-State Technical College. Ryan worked as a youth counselor at Lincoln Hills in Irma, where he met the love of his life, Mackenzie Thompson. They were united in marriage on August 5, 2023, in Wausau. They had recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. Ryan had recently found a new love for fishing, even making his own lures and crankbaits. He enjoyed fishing around Merrill and Pleasant Lake and was always doing something outdoors every chance he had, whether it was deer hunting, sitting around a bonfire with friends and family or going snowmobiling on the trails. He looked forward to spending time with family and would enjoy playing card games (especially Rummy), board games, Jenga and cornhole. Ryan was a social guy that was fun to be around. He will be missed dearly by everyone, his death leaves a void, but memories of him will live on.

Ryan leaves behind his wife: Mackenzie Thompson of Merrill, his parents: Gerald and Vicki Adams of Coloma, WI, brother: Kevin (Crystal) Adams of Westfield, WI, nephew: Colvin Adams of Westfield, WI, uncle: Mitchell (Rose) King of Colorado Springs, aunts: Mary Pat Adams of Niles, IL and Sandra (Vince) Clarke of Mount Prospect, IL, maternal grandparents: Wally (Fern) King of Coloma, WI, along with several cousins. He is further survived by his in-laws: Ronald (Jackie) Thompson of Exeland, WI. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ray (Minnie) Adams and uncle: Raymond “Skip” Adams.

A Celebration of Ryan’s life will take place at a later date.
