Robert (RJ) Hoock Jr.

Robert John (RJ) Hoock, Jr, of Merrill, WI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 17, 2021, in Minneapolis, MN.  RJ was born September 2nd, 1982 in Landstuhl, Germany and is the son of Robert Hoock, Sr (Edith Hoock) of Abbotsford, WI and Trina Johnson (Robbie Johnson) of Merrill, WI.  In addition to RJ’s parents, he is survived by his sister Jennifer Hoock of Chesapeake, VA; his son Gabriel Hoock of Barnesville, MN; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

RJ was a very special friend to many and loved by all. He had a big heart, and his first concern was for others and not himself.  RJ had many medical challenges and it seemed that every time he overcame one another would come forward.  He was a fighter and kept rallying to work through what ailments plagued him.  We, as family and friends, need to take comfort that RJ will now be free of the discomfort that his body gave him.  He used to say, “my body is my worst enemy”.  His fight is over, and he can be at rest now.

Please join us on Saturday, September 25th, 2021, at Waid Funeral Home, to honor and celebrate RJs life. Visitation will be from 2 pm until 4 pm with the Memorial Service to follow. Online tributes are welcome and may be left at www.waidfuneral.com
