Rebecca Lynn (Mohr) Dorgan, affectionately known as "Becki", age 40 of Merrill passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Sunday, November 3rd, 2013 at Aspirus Hospital after a brave battle against synovial sarcoma. Becki was a devoted mother who adored her children; Chelsey (20), Braden (17), Jacob (14) and Damien (9). Her children were her world and she loved them with all her heart and soul. There is nothing she would not do for them and made many sacrifices to ensure their happiness.
Becki was born on February 4, 1973 and was the Beloved daughter of Jerry and Cheryl. Dear grand-daughter to Phyllis and Alice. Cherished sister of Todd, Amy, Molly, Alycin, Lindsay and Jeremy. Each having a special connection and very close bond. She was a precious aunt who had a special place in her heart for ALL of her nieces and nephews; Courtney, Kassidy, Kyle, Hailey, Ashley, Cali, Jayda, Chaddy, Jewell, Sidney, Jasmine, Alix, Chaz, Chase, Ivy and her new great-nephew Landry. She was a treasured niece to Ron, Randy & Viv, Val & Gary, Debbie, Niesey and Donna and special cousin to Jay, Jeremy, Jason, Kara, Jesse, Carmen, Angie, Aimee, Jared and Cody. Spending time with family was always appreciated and she always brought a smile and extra love and happiness to every occasion. She loved every holiday and birthday. Becki put much thought into every gift she gave, down to the detailed wrappings. She loved stickers and they could be found on every card or gift she generously gave. Her hand-made crafts were extra special gifts that she put much love and care into making. She never came to an event empty-handed and always brought something yummy, made with love, to every gathering. She loved butterflies and playing Bingo. Her beading was very special to her and something she took great pride in; especially her extensive bead collection. She was a talented and gifted artist.
With the help of her loving family and Making Dreams Come True she was able to rent a Home that she loved and recently moved into. She was only was able to enjoy her "new beginning" with her three boys for 4 short weeks. Becki is survived by her children, Chelsey Dorgan, Rothschild, Braden, Jacob and Damien Roberts, all of Merrill. Her parents, Gerald Mohr (Jean Ballmer), Merrill and Cheryl (Kelly) Kloss, River Falls; grandmothers Phyllis Schlueter and Alice Mohr, Merrill; siblings Todd (Sherri) Mohr, Eagle River; Amy (Chad) Brown, Gleason; Molly Kloss, River Falls; Alycin (Chad) Charbarneau, Merrill; Lindsay Kloss (Greg Schultz), Woodruff and Jeremy Mohr (Sarah Kleinschmidt), Merrill. Her eleven nieces, five nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins and an extended-family of relatives who loved her very much. Becki was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ray Schlueter and Donald "Dinty" Mohr, uncle Gary Schlueter and her aunts Carol Schlueter, Pam Mohr and Debbie Bornfleth. Even though life didn't always deal her the best cards and she faced many hardships, Becki always did her best to be Happy. She was FULL of life and giving in so many ways. Her smile would light up a room. She was silly, brave, and always saw the best in others. She was Spunky, Honest, and hard-working. Becki always had a smile on her face and a hop in her step. She could often be heard "whistling while she worked", and made life-long friends at every job she had. We need more Becki's in this world.
Becki LOVED life. She would want for us to SMILE BIGGER, Laugh HARDER, LOVE more!! Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Stephens United Church of Christ. Pastor Linda Kuhn will officiate with burial to follow at Snow Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pm Thursday, November 7 at Waid Funeral Home and again Friday 10 am until the time of service at the church. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the family.
