Phyllis Dorgan

Phyllis B. Dorgan, 94, former Gleason resident, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Pine Crest Nursing Home. She was born on June 18, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois to Adam and Marie Gawlik. Phyllis was married to Joseph Dorgan, Sr, on November 25, 1947 in Illinois. The family spent summers in the Gleason area and moved permanently there in 1962.

Phyllis loved doing things outdoors like, camping, fishing with her son-in-law, and waterskiing. She was still waterskiing into her 80’s. She enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo, cards, board games and traveling. It was nothing of her to drive cross country all by herself. Once in a while, you could find her shooting pool with her "Pops". Phyllis always enjoyed dining on lobster, and making her favorite pork roast, dumplings and kraut for her family.

Phyllis is survived by her children Tom Dorgan (Cindy), New Mexico; Mick Dorgan (Linda), Gleason; Joey Dorgan (Patricia), Merrill; and daughter Mary Jo Gustin (Stanley) of Chetek. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and one brother Rodney Gawlik, Joliet, Illinois and a sister-in-law Bette Pech, Fresno, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Glenn Gawlik.

Per Phyllis's wishes there will be no funeral.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Pine Crest for the wonderful care they gave their Mom.
