Pauline Robbins, 82, Merrill, died Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Pine Crest Nursing Home. She was born March 30, 1927, in Paulding , MS , to the late Thomas and Sarah (Carr) Bergin. Pauline married Charles “Chick” Robbins May 13 th , 1950 in Memphis , TN. Pauline and Charles lived in Milwaukee , Hortonville, and Suring , WI . While in Bonduel they farmed and ran a group/shelter Foster Home for Shawano County for many years. Pauline and her husband Chick cared for over 300 foster children. Pauline was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, caring for her flowers and house plants and going to the casino.



Survivors include her son, Michael (Terry) Robbins, Stevens Point , her daughters, Nona Robbins, Milwaukee , and Nora Robbins, Merrill; three sisters, Catherine Cruikshank, FL, Matilda Crosby, Sumrall , MS , Sarah Agnes Fink, Hattiesburg , MS , one brother, Albert Bergin, Carlsbad , TX .; one granddaughter, Jessica Bygd, Seattle, WA and one grandson, Clinton Bygd, Huntley, IL



She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, one son: Kevin, three brothers: Thomas, Timothy and Steven Bergin, and three sisters: Margie, Monica and Zita.



Services will be held Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St Francis Catholic Church. The Rev. James Horath will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 AM the morning of the service, also at the church. Waid Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com .
