Patricia Truckey

Patricia Truckey, age 83, of Colby, WI, previously of Merrill, WI, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at The Waterford in Colby, WI.  She was born on March 17, 1940 to the late John and Alfreda (Rutkowski) Atkielski in Milwaukee, WI.  Patricia attended high school through the 11^th grade and went on to earn her GED.  She met Robert Truckey and they lovingly exchanged marriage vows on March 19, 1957 in Milwaukee, WI.  Sadly, Robert passed away in 2003.

Patricia was a school bus driver for over 40 years in the Gleason area, a job that she loved.  She looked forward to seeing the kids and being their driver.  She would host Bible studies at her home with friends, and loved making her Sunday dinners for her family.  Patricia also loved traveling, especially her numerous trips to Disney!  She was a strong woman that loved her family and will be missed dearly.

Patricia is survived by her children: Raymond (Carie) Truckey of Weston, WI, Hope Ziarnik of New Berlin, WI, Belinda Kimbrough of Neenah, WI, Tina (fiancé, Jason Echterling) Kiefer of Kronenwetter, WI, Lon Truckey of Merrill, WI, Troy (Brenda) Atkielski of Green Bay, WI and Kim Steele of Wasila, AK, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister: Toni Wingfield and sister-in-law: Linda Atkielski, along with many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Robert Truckey, brother: John Atkielski, sister: Eloise Atkielski and brother-in-law: Harvey Wingfield.

Per family request, no services will be held for Patricia.

Family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Inclusa, The Waterford and Promedica Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Patricia and her family.
