Patricia "Pat" M. Kadubek

Patricia “Pat” Marie Kadubek, age 83, of Gleason, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024, while at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill and under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.  She was born on March 26, 1941, to the late Abraham R. and Mary Erma (Burkhart) Estreen in Laona, WI.  Pat attended and graduated from Wabeno high school.  She met the love of her life, Martin “Marty” Kadubek, and the two were united in marriage on May 28, 1960.  Sadly, Marty passed away on June 13, 2018, and she missed him dearly. Pat then moved in with her son, Brent.

Pat loved being a homemaker and mom, where she was able to bake and cook, which were her favorite things to do.  She truly had a passion for baking and cooking; she was able to express her love through cooking big meals for those she cared about. Pat happily looked forward to doing these things with her now angel above, Aly. Large gatherings around the dining room table always brought her joy and put a smile on her face.  Pat especially enjoyed Christmas baking and watching people enjoy her famous chocolate covered cherries, and well as her homemade donuts.  She was known to indulge in lots of Sees Chocolate Candy! Pat looked forward to precious time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her good friend, Ruth.  She enjoyed going to church services in Gleason.  Pat will be sadly missed, but her memory will live on.

Pat is survived by her children and grandchildren: Laurie (Robert) Giles, with their daughter: Jamie (Nicholas) Recchia and their son: Ryan (Samantha) Giles, Deborah (Mark) Tomack, Brent (Jolyn Hubbard) Kadubek, with his children: Derrick (Kalena Gee) Kadubek and Carlee (Brady Schreiber) Kadubek and Jayne Kadubek, along with great grandchildren: Bella, Lena and Nicholas Recchia and Rylie Giles.  She is further survived by her sister: Sandra (Art) Kadubek, nieces: Cheryl Belott, Brenda Kadubek and Nichole Tessman, nephews: Michael Estreen and Jason Wittig, sister-in-law: Carol Estreen and brother-in-law: Dennis Wittig.  Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Marty, brother: Richard Estreen and sister: Roberta Wittig. She is also survived by her beloved puppy Otis.

A Celebration of Life for Pat will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Gleason.  Pastor Greg Laska will officiate.  Visitation will take place at the church, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Family requests that you come in casual clothes, or whatever is comfortable for you.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Rennes Rehab in Weston, the Aspirus Wausau Hospital and Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill, for all their care, attention and compassion shown to Pat and her family during her time at each place.
