Pamela L. Cupples, 60, of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at her home. She was born July 8, 1952 in Merrill to the late Walter and Mabel (Severt) Sherfinski. Pam and Stephen Cupples were married on November 24, 1973. He preceded her in death May 22, 2010. Pam was a 1971 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. She worked at Wire Products, Inc, Dick's Riverside Club, Weinbrenner Shoe Company and Hurd Window & Door Company. Pam was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she helped in the kitchen for funeral dinners. When she was young, she was involved in the Candy Stripers at Holy Cross Hospital in Merrill. Pam was always willing to help others. She loved to do crafts, flower arranging, sewing, shopping and most recently she helped with the food for the volunteers at Grampa's Farm. Pam enjoyed traveling including several cruises and a trip to Ireland and England with her husband, Steve. Pam loved her cat, Tawny. Survivors include her daughter: Heather Cupples, Madison; four sisters: Pat (Keith) Wendt, Janet (John) Fechner, JoAnn (Everett) Rogers & Loretta (Jack) Borgert, all of Merrill; and one brother; David (Sandy) Sherfinski, Merrill. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stephen, one sister, Virginia Bushar, one brother, Roger Sherfinski and one brother-in-law, Freeman Bushar Sr. There will be a private family service only. Inurnment will take place in the spring, at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
