Nina Winker, age 69, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. She was born January 15, 1945 in Sacramento, CA to the late Theodore and Nine (Gorell) Tanski. Nina graduated in 1963 from South Milwaukee High School. She settled in Tomahawk where she worked at the Harley Plant and later as a waitress. Nina enjoyed visiting with friends and going for car rides. When she was able, she loved gardening and enjoyed passing the time by reading. Nina spent a lot of her time with grandkids and loved to babysit for friends whenever she had a chance. She was a member of TOPS in Tomahawk and in later years was a home maker. Survivors include her two daughters: Lynn Voigt, Shawano, and Leanne Winker, Tripoli; son: Jeff Winker, Marion; four grandchildren: Brittine Winker, Devin Reif, Kyle Winker and Andromeda Brown; one great-grandchild: Liam Maas; sister: Susie Milewski, Oak Creek; and ex-husband: Raymond Winker. She was preceded in death by her parents. A private memorial visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Waid Funeral Home. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
