Mildred Krueger

Mildred Krueger, 82, of Wausau, formerly of Merrill, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home. She was born on November 8, 1926 to the late Julius and Ida (Krueger) Pagel. Mildred was a waitress at Hinz’s Cork & Dine and The Belevue Café for many years. Later she worked for Rhode’s & Kasper’s Office Supply Stores. She was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ. Mildred enjoyed playing cards, being involved in many card clubs and going to the casino. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and her cat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilbert, 11 brothers and sisters and 2 grandsons. Survivors include her 2 daughters: Sharon (Randall) Welch of Merrill, Shirley Pankow of Athens; her sister: Elvila Stump of O’Fallon, MO: sister-in-law: Loretta Seidler of Merrill; six grandchildren: Russ, Karla, Kelly, Mary, Cheryl and Jaimie; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Waid Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Hawker will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, October 16, 2009 from 4-8 PM and again from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Saturday all at the Funeral Home. Waid Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
