Martin Natzke

Martin Albert Elmer Natzke, age 84, of The Town of Corning, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, under the care of his family, the staff of the Special Care Unit and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. Martin was born in the Town of Corning, February 7, 1929 son of the late Henry J. and Ernestine F. (Winter) Natzke. Martin and LuEllen (Pohmeier) were united in marriage at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Corning on July 20, 1963, a union that lasted 49 years. He and LuEllen worked side by side on the Natzke Family Dairy Farm. Martin was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill, where he served as an elder, usher and sang in the church choir for many years. Martin enjoyed playing Sheephead, visiting with family and friends, and attending his grandsons sporting events.

Survivors include, his wife: LuEllen Natzke, Merrill; Son: Michael (Kelley) Natzke, Merrill; Daughter: Debra (Daniel) Seidl, Fond du Lac, WI; 2 grandsons: Benjamin and Matthew Natzke, Sister: Esther Natzke, and Brother: Harold (Ethel) Natzke, all of Merrill, many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Erwin and Arnold, two sisters, Edna Kudick and Frieda Natzke, and his father and mother in law: Fred and Erna Pohmeier. Funeral service will be 10:30 am Monday, July 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Pastor R. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Corning. Visitation will be at Waid Funeral Home Sunday July 7, 3-7pm, and again Monday 9 am until the time of service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or School, or charity of choice. The Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
