Margaret Teske

Margaret “Marge” Teske, formerly of Jenny Towers of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at age 90 at Pine Crest Nursing Home.  She was born June 1, 1928 in the township of Merrill to August and Emma Schiller (Wegend).  Marge was married to Orval Teske (her husband of 60 years) on November 3, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Schley.  Her preceded her in death.

Marge had farmed with her husband and was a sales clerk at Gruetts Drug Store, Eddies Bake Shop as well as Merrill Bakery.  She enjoyed singing and dancing with her husband.  Marge did singing with the Sr. Center Singers for 5 years.  She also would share her gift of singing at many weddings and funerals.  Marge was a Sunday school teacher for 20 years and Vacation Bible School in Dutch Corners and Gleason as well as being superintendent.  She was very active in the Dutch Corners Ladies Aid and had served as president & treasurer.

Marge is survived by 3 children; Karen (Steven) Hawley, Wausau, Gina Bowen, West Bend, WI, Ryan, Merrill, sister; Loretta Coyle, Neenah, WI, sister in laws; Florence Rehwinkel, Merrill, brother in law; Rev. Melvin (Florence) Teske, Washington and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Marge is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters; Leona, Frieda (Alfred) Voelz, Gertrude (Angelo) LoVerde, Clara (Alfred) Schenk, Edna (Robert) Ranum brothers; Harold and Arnold (Phyllis), sister in law; Arline Teske and brothers in law; Rodney Anderson & Thomas Coyle.

A memorial service will be 11 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.  Rev Patricia Schutz will be officiating.  Visitation will be at church from 10 AM until the time of service.  Private burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church or charity of your choice.
