Linda Wichman

April 16, 1948 — November 8, 2021

At sunrise on Monday, November 8, 2021 Linda Kay Wichman went home to be with Jesus. She was born in Appleton, Wisconsin to Otto and Margaret Brinkman on April 16, 1948. Linda was united in Marriage to Kenneth Gary Wichman January 7, 1967.

A strong, resilient, dedicated mother, who lovingly raised 5 children, 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  For 25 years she helped manage her husband Kenny’s construction company, until his death in 1993.  For twenty-years, following the death of her husband, she was a smiling face at Walmart in Merrill.

She had many dear friends and neighbors throughout her life with whom she always enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee and a bit of gossip.  She enjoyed gardening, playing Kings Corners with her children and grandchildren (Always holding her kings for the unfair advantage).  She loved getting lost in a good book, and having long, happy conversations with her wonderful brothers and sisters.

She is greatly loved and missed by her children; Julie (Mike Berens) Wichman with Ashly (Aaron) Korbish and Banks, Joshua, and Katie (Colton) Drinville; Jason (Kim) Wichman with Maria, Monika and Kevin; Mary Cohrs (Chad Miller) with Hayes and Ava; Adam (Mary) Wichman with McKayla; Amy (Gary) Moyle with Marissa (Gary Barton), Dayton and Blake.  Her sisters Carol Hemmen, Janice (Nick) Wohlt, Barb (Tom) Oswald.  Her brothers Charles, Dennis, and David (Pat) Brinkman.  Her brother-in-law Bob Wichman and sister-in-law, Jeanette (Fred) Wolff; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers Jack and Larry Brinkman, sister and brother-in-law Betty and John Best and sisters-in-law Barb Brinkman and Nancy Brinkman, Mother and Father in-law, Reuben and Verna Wichman, and sisters in law, Vern Hubbard and Rose Wichman.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Town of Summit Cemetery, Summit, WI, at 1:00 pm. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Eagles Club in Merrill, WI from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
