Lillian J. McGurn, age 90, of Merrill, died on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at her Bell Tower residence in Merrill, while under the care of Ministry Hospice. She was born on July 29, 1929 to the late John and Alma (Klein) Beyer in Merrill. Lillian attended and graduated from Merrill High School. She met Frederick McGurn, and the two lovingly exchanged marriage vows on June 24, 1950 in Doering, WI. Sadly, Frederick preceded her in death on July 20, 1993.
Lillian worked as a bank teller for most of her adult life, until her retirement. Upon retirement she and Frederick traveled throughout the United States in their RV. After his passing, Lillian frequently spoke of their travels with fond memories and a sense of pride in her first-hand knowledge of US geography. Lillian was also known for her excellent cross-stitching skills and always looked forward to starting her next project.
Lillian is survived by her daughter: Mary McGurn of Omaha, NE and her sister: Evelyn (George) Mielke of Merrill, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
There will be no services as she will be laid to rest in Riverside, CA, next to her beloved Frederick.
