Leon J. Duginski, age 55, of Merrill, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at
St. Joseph
’s Hospital in
Marshfield
. He was born August 27, 1954 in Merrill to Leonard Duginski and Rosalie (Kloth) Duginski. She survives.
Leon
was a 1972 graduate of
Merrill
Senior High School
. He then attended UW Stevens Point.
Leon
worked for Northern Door Company from 1975 to 1989 and then worked for S&E Corporation from 1990 until retiring in 2008. He was a Sergeant (E5) in the Army National Guard where he was a Tank Gunner until 2007.
Leon
liked to work on cars and go to the casino. He was known for his unusual inventions.
Leon
was a wealth of information on most subjects and loved listening to talk radio and watching American Idol. He loved to make people laugh, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother; Rosalie (Ronald) Jaeger of Merrill, 1 daughter; Allicia Duginski of Wausau, 3 sons; Ryan of Merrill, Leon (Ashley) Jr. of Wausau and Josh Jaeger of Merrill, 1 sister; Linda Goodman of Sturgeon Bay, 2 brothers; Jerry (Jessi) of Forestville and Jason of Merrill, and 1 grand daughter; Bella Duginski of Wausau.
Leon
was preceded in death by his father, 1 son Brandon and 1 nephew, Robert Goodman III.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at the Waid Funeral Home. Pastor Jack Shook will officiate. Burial will be in

Memorial Park
. Visitation will be 4 PM to 8 PM Wednesday at the Waid Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the hour of services at the funeral home. Online tributes may be made at
