Ken Johnson was born December 28, 1931 to Joseph and Marie (Neubauer) Johnson in Racine, WI. He went home to his Lord quietly with his wife by his side on March 23, 2010.
Ken joined the Air Force at age 18 and retired after 20 years. He attended schools in Racine. Ken was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling and playing golf. He was a comedian who loved to tell jokes. He also liked big cars. Ken especially loved his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; children: Laura (Don) Richards, Traverse City, MI, Ron (Kathie) Johnson, Virginia Beach, VA, Steven (Nimuel) Johnson, Austin, TX, Gregory & Jerry Johnson, Traverse City, MI; Stepchildren: George (Georgette) Albert, Sturtevant, WI, Stephen (Tammy) Albert and Michael (Jacqueline) Albert, all of Merrill; 6 grand children, 2 great grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 16 step-great grandchildren; brothers: Richard (Nancy) Johnson and Charles (Susan) Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Samuel and brother, Bill.
Services will be held 5:00 PM, Friday, March 26, 2010, at Waid Funeral Home, with military honors presented by VFW Post # 1638. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM also at the funeral home.
