Judith Frick

Judith "Judy" Frick, age 74, went to her heavenly home on July 4, 2014. She passed away unexpectedly at her home. Judy was born on October 16, 1939 to the late Arthur and Ida (Gehrt) Hoffman in Merrill, WI. Judy was the youngest child of 14 children. She married LeRoy Frick on August 19, 1961 at St. Stephens United Church of Christ in Merrill, WI. He survives. Judy enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would go out of her way to do anything for anybody. Judy enjoyed tending to her gardens at home with her faithful dog, Ginger, by her side. She was also very talented at crafting and would volunteer to help others. Judy was well-known for her cooking, especially around holidays and special occasions. She made dozens upon dozens of wonderful angel food candy, cookies and other treats at Christmas time and would share her delicious treats with everyone. Judy would volunteer at the food pantry as well as St. Stephens Church. She worked as a CNA for many years at Holy Cross Hospital, Pine Crest and was a supervisor at Woodland Court. She enjoyed the healthcare field very much. Judy also worked as a janitor at MAPS. She loved her dog, Ginger, who was a gift to her from her best friend, Julie Young. Judy always put others first and cared deeply for her family and friends. She told stories of her childhood to everyone and was well-respected for her wisdom. Judy was a member of St. Stephen's United Church of Christ. She will be deeply missed. Judy is survived by her husband of 53 years, LeRoy Frick; children, Pam (Dave) Wangerin, Darryl (Beth) Frick, Dale Frick and Clayton Frick, all of Merrill; 8 grandchildren, Michael, Devin, Tanya, Jessica, Brooke, Karen, Cianna and Matthew; 4 great- grandchildren; sisters, Marie Miske and Millie Daubert; brothers, Roger (Rose) Hoffman and Kenney (Ethel) Hoffman and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ida; 9 siblings, Herman, Alice, Adeline, Harry, Marvin, Arthur Jr., Florine, Betty and John; 1 granddaughter, Heather Frick. A Funeral Service will be held on July 9, 2014 at 11AM at St. Stephens United Church of Christ in Merrill. Pastor Missy Holdorf will officiate. Visitation will be July 8, 2014 from 4PM – 8PM at Waid Funeral Home and again on July 9, 2014 at 9AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be at the Snow Hill Cemetery. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
