Joyce E. Woller

Joyce Elaine (Koehler) Woller from the Town of Berlin died January 28, 2023, at Bell Tower Residence.

Daughter of August and Verona (Prechel) Koehler.  Joyce was born August 16, 1932, in the Town of Berlin.   She was Baptized on September 17, 1932.  Joyce and Elgard Woller were married on September 17, 1949.  Elgard died on December 3, 1997.

Joyce is survived by two sisters, Marjorie Schwede (Charles) Town of Texas, Carol Wasmundt of Harshaw.  Five brothers: Eugene, Daniel (JoAnn), August (Sandra), Bert (Gail) and Elmer (Nancy) of all the Town of Texas. Two brothers in laws: Harold (Phyllis) Woller and Dennis (Sharon) Woller and one sister in law: Dorothy Woller all of Merrill.  Also, Special friends Lee and Diane Pfaff of Merrill.

She was proceeded in death by her parents August & Verona (Prechel) Koehler, husband Elgard Woller, sister Nancy Hussong, brothers Gilbert and Virgil Koehler. In laws Martin Woller & Dorothy (Woller) Sturm, Otto and Selma (Woller) Porath, Mary Woller and Walter Woller, Thomas Wasmundt and Donald Hussong.

Although she never had any children of her own, she babysat for many children of friends and relatives. Along with farming, Joyce and Elgard enjoyed bowling and following The Peter and Paul Wendinger Polka Band. Joyce also worked at Schult’s County Inn and was one of the founders of Schult’s famous fish fries. She loved playing cards with her card club friends. 

Funeral services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 15425 S. County Rd K, Merrill WI 54452 on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 11:00am.  Rev. Donald Love will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 4:00pm-7:00pm and again on Friday from 9:00am until the time of the service, all held at the church. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date.
