Jeanette Zimick

Jeanette J. Zimick, age 81, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Clares Hospital in Weston. Jeanette was born on September 3, 1935, to the late Florian and Jane(Warosh) Lilla in Wausau, WI. On June 2, 1956, Jeanette exchanged vows with Henry Zimick in Wausau, WI. Jeanette was a homemaker, and then went on to work in the meat department at IGA. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening with her family. Jeanette loved to collect Avon and Pepsi-Cola keepsakes and was a huge Green Bay Packers fan. She was a member of Catholic Daughters and the Rockhound Club. Jeanette will be greatly missed. Jeanette is survived by her sons, Paul Zimick of Tangent, OR and Steven (Colleen) Zimick of Albany, OR; daughters, Sue Schumacher(Jack Bradley) of Menasha, WI; Debbie(Johnny) Higgins of Tomahawk, WI; Bernadette (Mark) Stahlkopf of Plymouth, WI; sister, Sister Dolores Lilla, FSPA of Merrill, WI; one grandson, Michael; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren , nieces, nephews, her feline companion of 20 years, Petunia, and beloved grand-dogs. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Zimick; parents, Florian and Jane (Warosh) Lilla; a twin brother, James Lilla. A service will be held for Jeanette on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11am. Fr. Chris Kemp will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 9am-11am on Wednesday prior to the service. Family wishes to extend a special thankyou to the compassionate doctors, staff, and ICU nurses at St. Clares Hospital in Weston, WI. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to the food pantry or Lincoln County Humane Society. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.
