James ‘Jim’ Alan Graap, age 65, of Merrill, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at his home in Merrill. He was the son to the late Richard and Berdine (Woller) Graap and was born on August 15, 1955 in Merrill. Jim attended Merrill High School until he enlisted in the U.S. Army to bravely serve his beloved country. After serving in the military, Jim worked as a diesel mechanic and worked at Gordon Aluminum for over 30 years in the shipping department and as a truck driver for them. Jim loved working on cars and trucks, as well as working on his own truck, which he loved! He enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales. Jim would look forward to the next fishing season, as he had a passion for fishing. He would also go hunting, loved to read and watch Westerns and loved his dogs dearly. Jim is remembered as being the best dad, always willing to lend a hand where needed. Jim will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
Jim leaves behind his son: J.R. Graap (Candace), grandsons: Jayden and Jonathan, granddaughters: Madyson, Emersyn, Graycen and Jessica, stepdaughter: Christine, sister: Sandy, brothers: Tim, Ron and Roger, ex-wife: Kathy and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Danny, stepdaughter: Tracy and brothers: David and Mike.
Per family request, no services for Jim will be held.
