Gordon E. Jaeger, age 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Marshfield Medical Center – Weston. He was born to the late Albert and Selma (Kufahl) Jaeger on November 23, 1930, in the town of Texas, Marathon County. After school, Gordon joined the United States Army and proudly served his country through the Korean War, before being honorably discharged.
Gordon worked in construction as a cement finisher for over 30 years. He was a giving and helpful person that would always lend a hand when needed. Gordon was very skilled when it came to working with wood, he created lots of wooden pieces for his family. Gordon loved dogs, especially his little “Porky”. He was a volunteer at the food pantry at his church. Gordon had a strong relationship with God and enjoyed going to church. He will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered.
Gordon is survived by his daughter: Jody Jayne Jaeger, granddaughters: Stephanie (Scott) Cook, Chris Ann (Aaron) Edberg and Jamie (Edward) Garcia, great grandchildren: Serena, Sarah, Skylar, Nora, Tim, Isaac, Ryann, Joey and Zeke, great great grandchildren: Landon, Charlotte and Lyle and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters: Marion, Ruth, Dorena, Mick, Leora and Carmine, 7 brothers: Nyal, Delmar, Alfred, Milton, Wilbert, Butch and Karl, as well as his beloved dog: “Porky”.
A private family service was held.
Burial immediately followed the service and took place at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, in the Veterans Memorial Section. Full military honors were conducted at the cemetery.
