Gloria C. Horswill

Gloria C. Horswill, age 87, of Merrill, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill, while under the care of Interim Hospice. She was born on June 25, 1937, to the late Mr & Mrs. Catherine Zasada in Milwaukee, WI. Gloria attended and graduated from high school in Milwaukee before she met and married Herbert Horswill in Milwaukee, WI. Sadly, he preceded her in death.

Gloria worked in manufacturing in New Berlin for most of her adult life, assembling circuit boards and material handling. She had a love for animals, especially all of their cats, dogs and horses! Gloria loved being around them and taking care of them, as it made her heart happy. She was a loving, but feisty woman that will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Gloria leaves behind her sons: Ron Horswill and Matt Horswill, daughter: Lisa (Jon) Hipke, daughter-in-law: Camille (Tom) Syburg, grandchildren: Amanda (Dave), Jamie, Taylor (Randy), Justus, Katie (Andy), Kara (James), Lauren (David), Tyler, Josh and Rachel, and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Herbert, son: Richard Horswill, grandson: Dalton Hipke, granddaughter: Jessica Hipke and brothers: Roman and Hank.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank Pine Crest Nursing Home for the care and compassion they had shown to Gloria during her time there.

Memorials for the family may be sent to Waid Funeral Home, and it will get passed on to them.
