Florence Levernier

Florence Levernier, 86, of Merrill, formerly of Illinois, passed away unexpectedly at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center. She was born July 8, 1927 in Glencoe, IL to the late Virginio and Carlotta Ferraro. On September 4, 1948 Florence and Art Levernier were united in marriage in Hubbard Woods, Illinois. He survives. Florence was a graduate of New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL. She waitressed for many years at Lakeshore Country Club in Glencoe, IL. Florence enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in the summer, fishing and taking care of her yard. She also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Florence enjoyed all animals and dogs and loved visiting pet shops. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of over 65 years: Art Levernier, Merrill; daughter: Dorothy Malm, Merrill; son: James 'Jim" Levernier, Little Rock, AK; grandchildren: Andrew (Angie) Malm, Raleigh, NC, Adam (Melanie) Malm, Oshkosh, WI, and Kathryn Malm, Los Angeles, CA; great-grandchildren: Taylor Malm and Madison Malm; sister: Norma Rogan, Bristol, RD; nephew: Bob (Sue) Rogan, Bristol, RD, and their daughters, Samantha and Stephanie; and many friends through golfing and bowling leagues. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Christopher Malm and two beloved dogs, Barney and Katrina. A private family service will be held at the funeral home.
