Edward Anthony Kultgen, 82, Merrill, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at Woodland Court Elder Services under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services. He was born in the Town of Port Washington, April 21, 1929 to the late Mathew & Celia (Gross) Kultgen. Ed married Amanda Simon in Port Washington December 18, 1945. She preceded him in death December 13, 2005. Ed worked as an over the road truck driver for many companies throughout the years. He enjoyed reading Western novels and being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Ed was often seen with a pack of his favorite Pall Mall cigarettes and having a drink of Brandy. Survivors include his three children: Larry (Barb) Kultgen, Cedar Grove, WI, Linda (Russ) Marciniak, Saukville, WI, and Robert (Cherie) Kultgen, Merrill; five grandchildren: Rick Bartelt, Aaron (Lea) Kultgen, Shelly (Tony) Bruno, Joshua Kultgen and Laura (Joe) Buhs; two great-grandchildren: Zachary Bartelt and Simon Bruno; one brother: Robert Kultgen, Port Washington; and one half brother: Don Braeger, Crandon. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Amanda, and sister, Bernice Gasser. Per Ed's wishes there will be no services.
