Dorothy Saager, 86, of Adel, Georgia, formerly of Merrill, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Adel Memorial Hospital. She was born in Merrill on September 7, 1926. She married Edward Saager at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in the Town of Scott on June 1, 1946. He preceded her in death June 6, 2003. Dorothy and Ed moved to Arizona after Ed's retirement. They enjoyed traveling all over the United States through the aircraft industry. Dorothy had worked as a clerk at Sears and Kmart. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. Dorothy withstood the test of time. Survivors include her son, Alan Saager, Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward, and daughter, Barbara Saager on January 14, 1998. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Snow Hill Cemetery. Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
