Donna Greene

Donna Greene, age 63, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. She was born April 8, 1950 in Rhinelander to the late Bernard and Patricia (Benson-Howard) Stokes. She and Kenneth Greene were united in marriage in 1981. He survives. Donna graduated high school in 1968. She went on to attend Duluth Business University. Donna had lived in Duluth most of her life. She worked as an administrative assistant at Grand Portage Casino. She had a wonderful green thumb and created beautiful floral arrangements. Donna enjoyed riding motorcycles and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and reading. Donna was a carefree spirit and everyone loved her outgoing positive energy. Survivors include her two daughters: Shannon Stokes, Duluth, and Amanda (William) Owens, Merrill; six grandkids: Alyssa Flint, Kylor Greene, Chace Gengler, Kadden Starnes, William Owens Jr and Allan James Owens; great-grandkids: Jaliyah, Nariyah and Heaven; and her husband: Kenneth Greene, Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gordy Stokes and James Stokes. Per Donna's wishes there will be no services. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
