Donna Mae Forster

Donna Mae Forster, age 85, died on October 17, 2024 at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill, WI under the care of hospice. Donna was born in Merrill, WI to the late Hubert and Ruth (Baumann) Messerschmidt.

On May 29, 1961 she married Alvin Forster. He preceded her death in 2023.

Donna graduated from Trinity Lutheran School and Merrill High School.

Donna was employed at Hanson Glove, Fox Point and Mitchel Metal.

She was the proud mother of Gail (David) Kaminski, Jill Hoffmaster and Amy (Dale) Kohnhorst. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Dan (Megan) Kaminski, Nick (Tracie) Kaminski, Mike Blaubach, Michele (Marshall) Hulce, Joshua (Mandi) Kohnhorst, Ashley (Dustin Beekman) Waldburger and Adam (Jordyn) Kohnhorst, great-grandchildren: Drew, Mason, Layla, Kylie, Landan, Karson, Mariah, Mari, Mason, Mateo, Lacey, Allie, Bailey, Maddie, Luna and Parker, brother: Rodney (Kim) Messerschmidt, sister: Rosanne Kluck, sisters-in-law: Joyce Messerschmidt, Pat Messerschmidt, Iona Fleishman, Helen Leavitt, Delores (Luis) Heiser and Mary Ann Forster, brother-in-law: Walter (Mary Jane) Forster, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, in-laws: Albert and Minnie (Schulte) Forster, three brothers: Ronald, Roger, and Roy, three sisters: Bonnie (Raymond) Hill, Doris (Mike) Bernhardt and Lorraine (Ed) Hermanson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 4:00 pm at Waid Funeral Home. Reverend Scott Gustafson will officiate. A Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 2:00 pm until the time of service also at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers include all her grandchildren, Dan Kaminski, Nick Kaminski, Mike Blaubach, Michele Hulce, Joshua Kohnhorst, Ashley Waldburger, and Adam Kohnhorst.
