Dolores Butt

Dolores J. Butt, 81, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, August 6, at St Clares Hospital, Weston.

Dolores was born in Merrill on December 20, 1927 to the late John and Hattie (Fishbach) Henneman. She was a 1946 graduate of Athens High School. On August 21, 1948 she married Elroy Butt in the Town of Hamburg. She worked in the billing department at the telephone company in Wausau. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. Later in life, Dolores was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Company. She and her twin sister Doris had a country duo that preformed in the area and on the Medford Radio Station. Dolores enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, listening to country music, visiting with family and taking day trips to the country.

She is survived by her husband, Elroy, of Merrill; her son: Bradley (Patti) Butt also of Merrill, two daughters: Brenda (Phillip Riley) Felber of Orland Park, IL, and Kay (Jim) Southard, of Merrill; 10 grandchildren: Jody, Alan, Mike, Cory, Melissa, Amanda, William, Charlotte, Jerod and Megan; 12 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law: Frances Woller and Phyllis Hennemann.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Pam Schuster; her son: Ross Butt; a brother: Roger; her twin sister: Doris Westfall; a brother-in-law Elmer Woller; two sons-in-law: William Schuster and William Felber.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Waid Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Hawker will officiate. A visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Sunday.
