Debra Grund

Debra Kay Grund, 52, of Merrill, passed away July 20, 2009 at Saint Clares Hospital in Weston. Deb was born on May 28, 1957 in Merrill to the late Elmer and Edna (Voelz) Baguhn. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and was a 1975 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. Deb married Lloyd Grund on July 25, 1981 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. She worked for Semco, Auto Stop, Drew’s Piggly Wiggly and Dave’s County Market. Deb loved children and animals, especially cats. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Sheepshead as well as writing poetry. Deb also enjoyed attending family gatherings.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Grund and her son, Tim Grund; three sisters: Cheryl (Paul) Proulx, Jean (Mike) Ravn, and Kathy (Randy) Pfantz all of Merrill, also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and in-laws.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Edna Baguhn.
Services will be Friday, July 24 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday, July 23 from 4-8PM at Waid Funeral Home and from 10:00 – 11:00 before the service at the church.
