Daniel Fick

Daniel "Danny" Joseph Fick-Brunelle, age 42, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 21, 2015 at his residence in Battlecreek, Michigan. Daniel was born on May 10, 1973 to Bryan and Debrah (Fick) Brunelle in Milwaukee, WI. After graduating from the Milwaukee Boys Tech, Daniel enlisted in the U.S. Army. He had worked in a variety of machine shops and factories. Daniel enjoyed reading western books and watching the old-time western movies. He was considered a "history buff" because he liked to learn about history and found it to be very interesting. Daniel would frequent the car shows, where he enjoyed seeing and learning about the cars. He was very talented with his bass guitar and played it as much as he could. Daniel enjoyed the companionship of his 3 dogs at home. Above all, his daughter was his pride and joy, she meant everything to him. He will be sadly missed. Daniel is survived by his father and step-mother: Mr. & Mrs. Bryan Brunelle, his mother: Debrah Ann Fick (Eric Souza), daughter: Clair Felix, brothers: Timothy and Benjamin Brunelle and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister: Kristy Lynn Brunelle-Smith, grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Fick and grandfather: Frenchy Brunelle. A memorial service for Daniel will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10AM at the Waid Funeral Home in Merrill. Traci Fick will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 9:30AM until the time of the service, also at the funeral home. Military honors will be performed by the Merrill VFW Post #1638 following the service. Burial at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery will take place at a later date.
