Bonnie Buntrock

Bonnie J. Buntrock, age 85, formerly of Merrill, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Cady Homes in Wausau, while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.  She was born on August 5, 1935 to the late Albert E. and Myrtle (Nelson) Rowe in Merrill.  Bonnie attended school in Merrill.

She worked at various employers in Merrill, including Northern Wire for 15 years, Weinbrenner Shoe Factory for 3 years, Fromme Brothers for 3 years, Dime & Dollar Thrift Store for 4 years and lastly, volunteering at Lincoln Industries for 3 years.  Bonnie loved to shop and go on vacations, she enjoyed being out and about, whether it was playing Bingo, going to the casino or just going for a long walk.  She loved her animals, especially her cats.  Bonnie looked forward to family get-togethers and holidays spent with her nieces and nephews.  She was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.  Bonnie will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Bonnie is survived by her brother: Eugene Rowe of Merrill, sister: Barbara (Hank) Bie of Antigo, brother-in-law: Gene Green of Chetek and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Mary Green, Carol Zank and Margaret Rice, brother: Lloyd Rowe, sister-in-law: Judy Rowe, 2 nephews, 1 niece and brother-in-law’s: William Rice and Robert Zank.

A funeral service for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.  Pastor Adam Rodriguez will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 9am until the time of the service, also at the church.  Burial will immediately follow the service in the Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery.
