Aubrey Koehler

It is with great sorrow the family of Aubrey Koehler announce her passing.  A master of Rubik’s cube and a lover of painting, Aubrey passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday September 8, 2021. Aubrey was born October 3, 2008 and lived in Merrill.  She was a student at Prairie River Middle School.

She was quiet but introspective, always willing to help out without being asked whether around the house or with her younger cousins.  Aubrey loved cooking and baking, mastering the art of grilled cheese sandwiches for her Mom, waffles for her brother and helping Dad make smash burgers and tacos.  Aubrey enjoyed binge watching shows with Mom, tinkering with Dad and swimming with Bryce.  Aubrey enjoyed family vacations, most recently zip lining and go cart racing with her cousins.   She liked playing soccer and participating in girl scouts.  She was excited to begin the new school year back in school.

Aubrey is survived by her parents, Ben and Joellen (Lechleitner) Koehler and her brother Bryce.  She is further survived by grandparents Joe and Carol Lechleitner, August and Sandy Koehler, and great grandmother Joyce Sherman.  In addition, aunts and uncles; Jed and Leah Lechleitner, Tony and Denise Lechleitner, Angie and Rich Metzler, Jason Koehler and Wendy Koehler, along with cousins Kaden, Quinn, Kael, Kai, Nolan, Zoe, Rhys, Tyler, Jacob, Ana and Knox.

Aubrey was able to be an organ and tissue donor.

Visitation will be held at Waid Funeral Home in Merrill, Wednesday September 15, 2021, from 9am - 11am followed by a private family service.  Afterwards, a celebration of Aubrey’s life will be held from 12:30pm - 4pm at the Agra Pavilion at River Bend Trail in Merrill with a butterfly release at 3pm.

Masks WILL be required at any indoor setting.
