Arnold John Natzke, 89, of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill. He was born May 1, 1921 in the Town of Corning to the late Henry and Ernestine (Winter) Natzke. Arnold was a dairy farmer all his life and truly enjoyed farming. He also enjoyed playing sheephead. Arnold was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Corning, the Men's Club and served on the Board of Finance. Survivors include his sister: Esther Natzke, of Merrill; two brothers: Martin (LuEllen) Natzke and Harold (Ethel) Natzke, all of Merrill, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Erwin, two sisters; Edna Kudick and Frieda Natzke. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel Danner will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Friday, December 3 at Waid Funeral Home and again 9:30 – 10:30 AM before the service at the church. The family requests memorials given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the charity of choice. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
