Ann Pasholk

November 15, 1934 — October 12, 2009

Ann (Steinwand) Pasholk, 74, of Merrill, died Monday, October 12, 2009 at Saint Claires Hospital in Weston. She was born on November 15, 1934 to the late Herbert and Margaret (Will) Steinwand. Ann was a 1952 graduate of Colby high School. After graduating, she worked at Employers Insurance in Wausau. She married Kenneth Pasholk on May 7, 1955 and after the marriage became a homemaker. In 1959 they purchased The Jewel Box Jewelry Store in Merrill. She and her husband owned and operated the store until Ken’s passing in 1974. After his death, she continued operation until 1983. Ann later worked at Foxpoint in Merrill until her retirement. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she served as a reader, weekly adoration volunteer, and was a member of The Social Concerns Committee. She was also involved in Grief Ministry, the prayer chain and The Ride Ministry. Ann was a Good Samaritan Volunteer, helping in the gift shop and was a co-chair of the Bazaar. She was also a member of The Merrill Historical Society. Ann had been actively involved in many community clubs and associations throughout the years. She enjoyed playing cards, being involved in 3 different Bridge Clubs. Ann enjoyed traveling, spending time at her trailer on May Flower Lake, going to The Merrill Concert Association events and Friday night fish fries with Eleanor Peterson. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.



Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ken and her granddaughter Karly. Survivors include her 5 daughters: Kathy (Gary) Kasper of Merrill, Kerry (Ronald) Briggs of Irma, Kelly Pasholk of Taos, New Mexico, Kim (Keith) Woellner of Merrill, Kay (Jason) Cram of Madison; one sister: Sandra (Halver) Becken of Reedsville, Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren: Rene’ (Tim) Wagenaar, Sean Kasper, Casey Briggs, Jessica Briggs, Michelle Briggs, Kenneth (Ashley) Woellner, Kristine Woellner, Isaac Cram; and 2 great-grandchildren: Parker Wagenaar and Connor Woellner.



Services will be held Monday, October 19, 2009 at 11:30 AM at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Kleinheinz will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 on Sunday, October 18, at and again from 10 – 11 on Monday, all at the funeral home. Waid Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
