Frances E. Woller, age 94, of Wausau, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at her residence at Applegate Terrace in Wausau, while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
She was born on January 7, 1926 to Martin and Dela (Krueger) Butt in the Town of Berlin and was baptized on January 24, 1926 at home. Frances was confirmed March 17, 1940 and she married Elmer Woller on November 28, 1945, both at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Berlin. Elmer died on July 30, 1996. They were members of Faith Lutheran Church, Town of Maine. Frances and her family had a dairy farm in the Town of Maine until 1985. After retiring, she found time to make world relief quilts for Orphan Grain Train, volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Store and visited church members at local nursing homes. Frances enjoyed the visits from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed the Woller family get-togethers.
Frances is survived by her sons: Gerald and Gayle (Helke) Woller and Leon and Susan (Schroeppel) Woller, son-in-law: Robert Smith, grandchildren: Jeffrey Smith, Matthew and (Jamie) Woller, Shannon and (Raun) Egner, Brooke Woller, Jeremy Woller, Jessica and (Zachary) Lewis and Joshua and (Holly) Woller, great grandchildren: Caitlin, Mckenna and Bennett Woller, Cooper and Colten Egner, Zoey and Morgan Lewis, and Brittany Woller and many nieces, nephews, Woller sisters and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Elmer, daughters: Darlene Smith and Ellen and Mary Woller and brother and sister-in-law: Elroy and Dolores Butt.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, private family services will be held at Waid Funeral Home. The service may be viewed at your convenience at www.waidfuneral.com. Burial will take place at the Faith Lutheran Cemetery.
The family would like to thank everyone who contributed to the care of our mother at Applegate Terrace and also through Aspirus Hospice Care. We appreciate your wonderful care and kindness shown to our mother.
